BCNO QDs and ROS synergistic oxidation effect on fluorescence enhancement sensing of tetracycline

Tetracycline (Tc) is a versatile broad-spectrum antimicrobial drug against intestinal infections and widely used in breeding industry. However, the overuse of Tc will lead to bacterial resistance antibiotics residuals food products, which seriously endanger human health. Therefore, it’s vitally important develop rapid, sensitive, convenient method towards detection. In this work, fluorescent boron carbon oxynitride quantum dots (BCNO QDs) were obtained by hydrothermal 3% H2O2. The BCNO QDs possess large stocks shift, emit blue fluorescence with yield 4.9 %. Under synergistic catalytic effect reactive oxygen species (ROS), be oxidized into Tc, showing green 2 times enhancement than single additive QDs/ROS). optimal conditions, there good linearity response detection ranging from 10 nM 30 ?M, limit 5.95 nM. Consequently, oxidation H2O2 provides useful approach for highly sensitive selective determination. proposed reveals novel “fluorescence enhancement” strategy broadens application QDs.
